The Orthodox Archdiocese of Eldoret and Northern Kenya is a vibrant ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa, committed to proclaiming the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, preserving the Apostolic faith, and serving the people of God throughout the region.

Guided by the teachings of the Holy Scriptures, Sacred Tradition, and the Holy Fathers, the Archdiocese exists to lead people into a deeper relationship with Christ through prayer, worship, the Holy Mysteries, Christian education, and compassionate service.
Serving the counties and communities of Eldoret and Northern Kenya, the Archdiocese oversees a growing network of parishes, mission stations, clergy, and ministries dedicated to strengthening the spiritual life of the faithful and sharing the Orthodox Christian faith with all people.
The Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa
His Beatitude Pope and Patriarch Theodoros II of Alexandria and All Africa is the spiritual leader of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa, one of the ancient Apostolic Patriarchates of the Orthodox Church.
Elected to the Patriarchal Throne of Alexandria in October 2004, His Beatitude has dedicated his ministry to strengthening the Orthodox Christian faith, advancing missionary work, supporting charitable initiatives, and promoting spiritual growth throughout the African continent. Under his pastoral leadership, the Patriarchate continues to expand its missionary, educational, and humanitarian activities, bringing the message of Christ's love, peace, and hope to communities across Africa.
The Orthodox Archdiocese of Eldoret and Northern Kenya serves under the spiritual authority and canonical jurisdiction of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa, guided by the apostolic faith and pastoral vision of His Beatitude. His Beatitude's commitment to evangelism, Christian education, pastoral care, and the development of Orthodox communities continues to inspire the mission and ministry of the Church in Kenya and throughout Africa.

The Archbishop
His Eminence Archbishop Neofitos Kong’ai is the spiritual shepherd of the Orthodox Archdiocese of Eldoret and Northern Kenya, serving under the canonical jurisdiction of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa, headed by His Beatitude Pope and Patriarch Theodoros II. As the ruling hierarch of the Archdiocese, His Eminence is entrusted with the pastoral care, spiritual guidance, and ecclesiastical administration of Orthodox parishes, clergy, monastic communities, and faithful throughout the region. His ministry is dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, strengthening Orthodox Christian communities, nurturing spiritual growth, and extending the Church's mission to underserved and remote areas.
His Eminence's pastoral vision emphasizes a vibrant, spiritually grounded, and missionary Orthodox Church that faithfully preserves the apostolic tradition while responding compassionately to the needs of contemporary society. Through prayer, pastoral leadership, Christian education, and community engagement, he continues to encourage the faithful to grow in holiness, serve one another, and bear witness to the transforming love of Christ. His leadership reflects the Church's calling to be a living presence of faith, hope, and charity, reaching beyond church buildings to touch the lives of individuals, families, and communities.

The Clergy
The clergy of the Orthodox Metropolis of Eldoret and Northern Kenya are entrusted with the sacred responsibility of nurturing the spiritual lives of the faithful, celebrating the Holy Mysteries, teaching the Orthodox faith, and providing pastoral care across our parishes and mission communities. Serving under the spiritual guidance of His Eminence Metropolitan Neofitos Kong’ai, our priests and deacons work together to strengthen parish life, promote Christian unity, and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the region.
Archdiocese Executive and Administrative Leadership
The administrative leadership of the Orthodox Archdiocese of Eldoret and Northern Kenya supports the effective coordination of the Church's pastoral, missionary, financial, and development activities. Working in cooperation with the Archbishop and clergy, the executive and administrative team helps ensure that the Metropolis operates with integrity, transparency, accountability, and a shared commitment to its spiritual mission. Their responsibilities include administration, financial stewardship, project coordination, communication, parish support, and the implementation of approved Church initiatives.
Parish and Ministry Leadership
The Archdiocese is further strengthened by parish representatives, church committees, catechists, and ministry coordinators who generously offer their time, talents, and experience in service to God.
Through their dedication, our parishes and ministries continue to nurture children and young people, support families, encourage evangelism, promote charitable outreach, and strengthen the bonds of Christian fellowship.
